Mine Cable Services recommends the use of the Torpedo Strain Relief Clamp working in tandem with the MCS Satellite Wire Ball to safely and securely hoist and reposition shovel cables. The teeth of the shovel’s bucket lift the Satellite Wire Ball, attached to the Torpedo Strain Relief body via steel cable assembly, hoisting both into the air for cable repositioning. Torpedo Strain Relief Clamps are individually molded for specific cable diameters, holding cables securely in place in the center and each end. Attached to the Satellite Wire Ball, the Torpedo Strain Relief Clamp helps ensure the cable does not bend beyond its recommended bend radius, preventing damage often caused by single point straps or ropes.
